According to the American Cancer Society, the number of people living with a cancer diagnosis in the United States is expected to soar to almost 19 million by the year 2024. For many people, this may be a (good) sign that more and more individuals are ‘living well’ past their diagnosis. But, you and I both know that this statistic barely reveals the real story.
For example, approximately 1,735,350 new cases are expected in the year 2018 alone – with the most common projected to be cancers of the breast, lung, prostate, colon and pancreas.
Even with these sobering statistics, board-certified physician and cancer expert Linda Isaacs, MD, offers a breath of fresh air – reporting that individualized nutritional protocols and the use of pancreatic enzymes can bring “remarkable” results. However, Dr. Isaacs emphasizes the importance of committing fully to a treatment plan, likening cancer treatment to a “marathon” and not a “sprint.”
Discover the many natural ways to eliminate the threat of cancer without toxic drugs or risky medical procedures. On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Linda Isaacs, MD will talk about several groundbreaking cancer-fighting strategies that include: nutritional interventions, dietary supplements and detoxification protocols – which have been part of the practice of Dr. Isaacs for over 20 years.
Worthy to note: much of her time was spent working with the late Nicholas Gonzalez, MD, a renowned physician and cancer specialist. If you or someone you love have been diagnosed with cancer, make sure to mark your calendar for this lifesaving program. (this Sun. Mar. 4)

In answering this question, Dr. Isaacs stresses the importance of first learning as much as you can about the type of cancer you have. She points out that some cancers – including early-stage colon or cervical cancer – can respond well to conventional medical treatments such as surgery, while others, such as Hodgkin’s disease, may benefit from chemotherapy.
Of course, Dr. Isaacs also advises educating yourself about whether treatments are “curative” or “palliative.” While curative treatments are aimed at eliminating the threat of cancer, palliative treatments are intended to alleviate symptoms, shrink tumors, improve quality of life and prolong survival.
Dr. Isaacs recommends the publication Alternative Therapies in Health and Medicine as a valuable source of case reports about patients – particularly those who have enjoyed good results with complementary and holistic cancer protocols.
If opting for an ‘integrative approach’ – which is intended to blend conventional medical procedures with non-conventional therapies – Dr. Isaacs stresses that your primary care physician (and oncologist) should be kept fully apprised of the treatments used.

According to Dr. Isaacs, an organic diet – free of refined flour, sugar and alcohol – is of paramount importance in treating cancer. Particularly vital is the inclusion of unlimited fresh (organic) fruits and vegetables to reverse cellular damage and minimize the threat of chronic inflammation – along with the consumption of psyllium husks to help absorb toxic bile.
Dr. Isaacs also advises an individualized supplement routine of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients. Pancreatic enzymes, she maintains, can help to activate the body’s defenses against cancer.
And, finally, proper detoxification – through the kidneys, colon, bladder, skin and lungs – will help to rid the body of metabolic wastes and toxins.
In many cases, Dr. Isaacs will use coffee enemas with her patients to help stimulate the liver to release accumulated bile and toxins, a very helpful process for anyone diagnosed with cancer. Dr. Isaacs recommends them at the rate of two to six per day for cancer patients – while those in remission should perform them weekly.
In addition to helping the liver work more efficiently, coffee enemas can boost the activity of glutathione S-transferase, the body’s master antioxidant. In fact, Dr. Isaacs reports that coffee enemas can increase the action of glutathione by as much as 600 to 700 percent, thereby neutralizing dangerous free radicals and allowing them to dissolve into bile and be excreted harmlessly from the large intestine.
